Your Role:

You will work on facilities engineering and design projects of varying sizes within the educational, public works, water/wastewater, transportation, transit, government, and aviation industries, and will be responsible for delivering all project objectives for assigned projects including planning, scope, schedule and budget, team coordination, stakeholder communication, risk management, resource management, quality assurance, and reporting.

You will:

  • Oversee and perform engineering calculations and assessments to determine best practice mechanical design solutions for specific applications
  • Conduct and lead field investigations, HVAC load studies, energy modeling, code reviews
  • Oversee, produce, and provide quality control for mechanical/plumbing design documents (drawings and specifications) for bidding and construction

We are working with a growing engineering firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer with experience leading power systems projects. This would be a 6 month contract assignment, with potential extension or direct hire.

Your Role:

As a subject matter expert in Power Engineering, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in engineering designs and maintenance, as well as reliability best practices for electrical equipment across the company. You will provide internal power engineering support for Project Execution and Technical Services.

  • Proactively interpret industry best practices, standards, and regulatory codes, and provide assessments, strategies, and recommendations for projects and processes
  • Perform sophisticated tasks and leads teams in projects of major scope and unusual complexity
  • Participate in development and implementation of technical standards and specifications (e.g. electrical area classification, grounding design)
  • Interpret technological aspects of business and coordinate with management to assure success
  • Deliver and advise on technical presentations to management and/or external bodies and publications
  • Represent the Company in the capacity of a licensed professional engineer
  • Develop innovative services, technologies, processes or products that address current and future customer needs

Required Experience:

We are working with a growing company that specializes in natural gas pipeline systems, who is actively seeking several experienced Electrical Engineers to lead the design and optimization of electrical systems to power pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.

Your Role:

You will apply your technical expertise to integrate advanced technologies like automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage, driving efficiency and innovation across operations. This is a high-impact role where your leadership and problem-solving skills will directly contribute to operational reliability, safety, and strategic growth.

  • Ensure safety in the gas pipeline construction process through the implementation of arc flash mitigation, fault detection systems, and rigorous compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Manage complex engineering projects from concept to completion ensuring alignment with business goals timelines and budget constraints.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. 
  • Champion the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs. 
  • Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs 
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers, fostering technical growth knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous improvement. 

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated excellent organizational/interpersonal skills, with safety as a main priority 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills 
  • Power Generation and Controls experience
  • Proficiency in reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements

  • Proficiency in designing, and implementing, Instrumentation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems

  • Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects
