We are working with a leading Facilities Management firm who is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to work with their construction management team at one of their largest accounts in Houston, Texas, as a key member of the Design and Construction management team.

Your Role:

You will collaborate with a team of project managers who will oversee capital project teams and stakeholders, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled throughout the design, construction, and implementation phases.

  • Develop project schedules and execute according to plan for assigned projects. 
  • Evaluate the contractual scope of work and the impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and/or scheduling changes. 
  • Actively pursue additional work through change orders. 
  • Perform associated cost estimates, prepare proposals, and negotiate final settlement price and customer acceptance. 
  • Effectively communicate project progress, issues, and financial status to management as required. 
  • Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with consultants, prime contractors, and subcontractors.  
  • Attend and lead job progress meetings as required. 

Required Skills:

  • Construction project management expertise including new construction, renovations, and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) infrastructure
  • Proficiency in quality control, safety standards, and risk management in critical environments
  • Ability to develop and manage project schedules, cost estimates, and subcontractor coordination
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management to lead project teams and maintain client relationships
  • Strong Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment) as well as MS Project, Procore and Bluebeam preferred

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is highly desirable
  • 5 years of Construction/Project Management experience within new construction, renovations, MEP infrastructure, and working in critical environments preferred
  • 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity within construction
  • OSHA 30 Certification, or the ability to gain certification within 120 days of hire
