We are working with a leading Oil & Energy Engineering firm that is actively seeking an experienced Offshore Construction Planner to perform responsibilities on a high-priority offshore project project, working from their office in Houston, Texas.

Your Role:

Working closely with the prime contractor and its subcontractors, you will create and manage project schedules, timelines, and resource allocations.

• Work with the contractor and subcontractors to map out each step and activity, to ensure the project finishes on time and within established cost guidelines
• Predicate and communicate any potential delays before they happen.
• Collaborate with subcontractors in reviewing and building step-by-step master timelines using software, specifically Primavera P6 (or MS Project if needed)
• Meet regularly with the project team, contractor and subcontractors, and suppliers to keep everyone and every activity aligned
• Track daily and weekly site progress and report updates back to the program lead scheduler, project team and stakeholders
• Be on the lookout and identify potential bottlenecks, vessel standby, or delays
• Create backup plans to keep work moving
• Create alternate schedules for differing execution scenarios to evaluate potential project cost, risk, and ISD alternatives.

Required Skills:

• Technical literacy to understand scheduling tools, scopes of work, project drawings, and project software
• Clear communication and interaction with on-site personnel, the project team, and stakeholders
• Organizational and time management skills while juggling multiple timelines, delivery dates, and shifting priorities
• Ability to break a large complex offshore project into logical vessel work-fronts.?

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required as a minimum
• 10 years of hands-on offshore construction planning and scheduling experience on large, complex offshore projects
• Strong hands-on Primavera P6 experience developing and managing detailed project schedules
• Direct experience with pipelay, infield development, diving, dredging/trenching, or offshore installation
• Proven live/in-flight project experience with progress tracking, delay prediction, recovery planning, and risk mitigation
• Strong contractor/subcontractor coordination skills, with the ability to manage vessel work-fronts and communicate schedule risks effectively
