We are working with a growing engineering and construction firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who is actively seeking a Structural Engineer with a Professional Engineer license, to work on projects around the midwest. 

Your Role:

  • Work collaboratively within multiple disciplines including civil engineering, landscape architecture, land survey, and others.
  • Interact with and direct other project team members and act as a mentor to other employees.
  • Perform quality control reviews of projects prior to issuance.
  • Conduct construction observations and/or special inspections.
  • Prioritize, manage time, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of engineering systems, materials, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and RISA 3D.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes (IBC, AISC, ACI) and materials (concrete, steel, wood) critical for safe structural design.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer License. If the license is not in the state of Oklahoma, must have the ability to get licensed there immediately, which the company will pay for.
  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years supervising or mentoring junior engineers and leading project teams in structural engineering contexts.

We are working with a growing engineering firm in Indianapolis, Indiana, who is actively seeking a talented Structural Project Engineer with 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in building design.

Your Role:

You will work with Project Managers and with other engineers in a team-oriented, multi-discipline environment to produce exciting, to design structures and produce drawings and specifications for diverse projects using state-of-the-art software.

  • Perform structural analysis, utilizing knowledge of engineering “first principals”, for all types of structural systems and elements
  • Utilize analysis results to design gravity and lateral load resisting systems for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood buildings using various building codes
  • Advance the structural engineering design, coordination, detailing and drawing production of assigned projects, providing direction, guidance, and supervision to project staff as appropriate.
  • Communicate with clients and other design team members verbally and in writing as needed to achieve project goals
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Monitor the contractor’s conformance with the structural design intent by reviewing shop drawings, answering RFIs, and performing field observation site visits

Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing is essential

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred)
  • Professional Engineer Licence or NCEES Structural Engineer License – SE License preferred
  • 4+ years of relative experience in structural design and engineering – Advanced degree can be considered as relative experience
  • Experience designing building structures per the International Building Code is required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience using RAM Structural System, RISA, SAP2000, ETABS, and Revit Structure is highly desired.
  • Design experience with post-tensioned concrete structures is a plus

We are working with a leading roadway design and construction engineering firm who is actively seeking a Senior Traffic Design Project Engineer, to work on multiple projects from their offices in Herndon, Virginia Beach, or Richmond, Virginia.

Your Role:

You will be responsible for leading, overseeing, and performing engineering design using advanced knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments with limited supervision. You will also act as a technical advisor and mentor to less experienced engineers.

  • Lead the design of multiple concurrent roadway and traffic projects.
  • Assist the Project Manager with consultative services to the client by understanding client requirements, recommendations, and solutions to enhance client experience.
  • Attend client meetings or interviews in support of the Project Manager.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
  • Design projects using advanced discipline knowledge, client specifications and guidelines using design software and drawing tools.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems and share best practices/lessons learned on a wide scale,
  • Define parameters, review, and present alternative studies based on experience and advanced engineering knowledge.
  • Prepare or lead the preparation of engineering documents, technical reports, memos, and the like.
  • Evaluate and collaborate on discipline’s workflow and standard operating procedures to increase efficiency.
  • Perform and check design computations.
  • Perform quality reviews of project design in accordance with the Project Management Plan.
  • Provide cross disciplinary and constructability reviews on complex projects.
  • Provide input to the Project Manager and Section Head with scope development, work hours for tasks, and project schedule creation for discipline.
  • Manage and lead work to meet provided project schedule and budget relevant to discipline.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with team members and other disciplines to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality.
  • Delegate project work to design engineers, coordinate project requirements, and perform quality reviews.
  • Mentor and coach on technical knowledge to advance their skill development and advise on project design.
  • Actively participate and contribute in industry organizations, publications, and/or conversations, including making presentations, publishing papers, and the like.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in discipline specific software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Written and communication skills.
  • Familiarity of a variety of engineering disciplines.

Required Experience:
