We are working with a growing construction management company in Morristown, Tennessee, that is seeking a Construction Engineer to join their team.
Your Role:
You will assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects while working closely with project management, field teams, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. You will work both in the office, and at construction sites, so the company provides a work truck and fuel card.
- Review construction plans, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Assist with planning and coordination of civil construction projects
- Provide technical support to project managers and field personnel
- Monitor projects for quality, accuracy, and adherence to project specifications
- Help identify and resolve engineering or field-related challenges
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other project partners
- Conduct site visits and monitor project progress
- Assist with project documentation, reports, schedules, and related records
- Support projects from the planning stages through completion
- Promote safe, professional, and quality-focused jobsite practices
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and drawings
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both office and field teams
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of civil engineering or construction-related experience preferred
