We are working with a growing engineering construction company in Athens, Texas, southeast of Dallas, who is actively seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer with proven experience designing and leading installation of electrical systems related to the construction of industrial systems, such as HVAC, industrial controls, electrical heating systems, assembly controls, and the like.
Your Role:
As part of our engineering team, you will:
- Provide technical support and electrical troubleshooting for manufacturing and production operations.
- Develop wiring diagrams and electrical documentation for commercial HVAC equipment.
- Design and program control systems and specify components including electric reheat systems, wiring, and heating elements.
- Collaborate with customers and the sales team to resolve technical product issues and support new opportunities.
- Support laboratory and flow stand testing activities, including data acquisition and system validation.
- Ensure products meet applicable UL and ETL safety requirements and industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts and help solve challenging electrical and controls issues.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience; 10–15 years preferred.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting electrical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to create and maintain electrical drawings and documentation.
- Experience specifying electrical components and supporting product development activities.
- Familiarity with UL and ETL standards and safety requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, production personnel, and cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter who takes ownership, pays attention to detail, and enjoys solving complex problems.
Preferred Experience:
- LabVIEW programming and data acquisition systems.
- Commercial HVAC equipment or similar electromechanical products.
- CAD software for electrical documentation.
- Electrical testing equipment, wiring and cabling practices, and heating element sizing.
