We are working with a growing engineering team in Tyler, Texas, who are seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer to work with them on multiple municipal water and wastewater design projects throughout East Texas and Louisiana.
Your Role:
You will wear multiple hats, performing design, planning, and project support for multiple water and wastewater projects. As the team grows, and your experience grows, you may even move into project management.
- Actively engage in water resources civil design – water, wastewater, utilities, pump stations, treatment plants, drainage, and site development
- Produce design drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D at your own workstation
- Support project management, by attending and engaging in client meetings, field visits, troubleshooting, and conceptual planning, as your skills develop
- Apply engineering principles to real-world municipal water/wastewater projects and produce accurate design drawings
- Grow into managing own projects independently
- Support senior engineers in delivering projects on time and contribute to the firm’s growth
Required Skills:
- Hands-on design experience on municipal water and/or wastewater projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for production of design drawings
- Able and willing to travel up to 100 miles to support projects
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- Active EIT certification
Preferred Experience:
- Professional Engineer’s License
- Construction project experience
