We are working with a growing employee-owned engineering firm in the Baltimore area which is seeking Transportation Structural Engineers to be responsible for all aspects of design for transportation structures projects.

Your Role:

You will manage the design and construction of a wide range of transportation construction projects:

Design of new and rehabilitation bridge projects
Ability to meet project schedules and maintain quality standards
Maintain project scopes and budgets
Preparation of contract bid documents and managing construction phase services
Coordination with sub consultants
Leading design engineers and drafting personnel
Converse with clients and establish relationships.

Required Skills:

Ability to manage the structural design of engineering and construction projects of varying levels of complexity, and scope
Knowledge of structural design principles for steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete for structure components
Ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Required Experience:

BS or higher in Civil Engineering
10-20 years of relevant experience in structural design.
Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Maryland.
Experience with AASHTO LRFD bridge design.
Experience working with Maryland Department of Transportation.
Knowledge of structural design principles for steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete for structure components.
