We are working with a growing engineering team working on transportation and roadway infrastructure projects that is seeking a Civil Engineer with roadway experience to join their team in Princeton, New Jersey.  

Your Role:

In this role, you will contribute to the planning, design, and construction of roadway improvements, working with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) and multiple county agencies and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.

• Develop roadway and infrastructure design plans using AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design tools.
• Support transportation projects for NJDOT and county agencies in the Princeton area.
• Conduct field investigations and site inspections to evaluate existing conditions and collect engineering data.
• Prepare construction plans, engineering drawings, and technical documentation for roadway and infrastructure projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs, engineering calculations, and cost estimates for project proposals and bid packages.
• Develop and track project schedules for field work, reporting, and deliverables.
• Assist with construction support activities including site visits and coordination with contractors and project teams.
• Help implement QA/QC procedures to ensure project deliverables meet NJDOT and county standards.
• Review field data, design documentation, and engineering calculations to ensure project accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills:

• Experience with transportation or roadway infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or similar civil engineering software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, contractors, and public agencies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 0 – 5 years experience in Civil Design
