We are working with a growing engineering firm that specializes in designing and building clean energy systems, who is looking for an experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer to lead the building of advanced on-site power systems for hyperscale data centers across the United States. The engineering teams will be based in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Houston, Texas, even though the project sites may be elsewhere.

This role may require travel up to 50%, including domestic and international. But when you are not traveling this will be a hybrid role of 4 days in office and one day remote.

Your Role:

You will lead the design and optimization of electrical systems that power essential infrastructure—pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. You will manage complex projects from concept to completion, aligning engineering solutions with business goals and timelines. This is a high-impact role where your leadership and problem-solving skills will directly contribute to operational reliability, safety, and strategic growth.

  • Apply your technical expertise to integrate advanced technologies like automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage, driving efficiency and innovation across operations.
  • Ensure team safety through the implementation of arc flash mitigation, fault detection systems, and rigorous compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs
  • Mentors and supports the development of junior engineers fostering technical growth knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous improvement

Required Skills:

  • Power Systems design and analysis, working with systems such as natural gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery storage systems, and DCS

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 4+ years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry
  • Power Generation and Controls experience
  • Power system design and analysis experience
  • Familiarity with tools like ETAP, MATLAB, Simulink
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems, PLC programming
  • Proficiency in IEEE and NEC standards

Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects
