We are working with a leading Construction Services Provider in the western Atlanta metropolitan area who is seeking to add a Paint Estimator to their team.

Your Role:

You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and/or coordination of complete and accurate estimates on large & complex painting projects.

• Assist in the preparation of proposal packages, which includes but is not limited to quantity surveys, pricing, alternates, and/or clarifications.
• Familiarize oneself with product systems including application instruction and product data sheets
• Prepare complete quantity take-offs, analysis, estimates, and studies for all items incorporated in the assigned scope
• Prepare detailed estimates based on construction drawings and specifications
• Analyze contract documents (plans, specifications, etc.) to determine any required scope
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals relative to their scope of work and determine if scope is covered
• Calculate the job cost based on information gathered during bid process
• Attend on-site pre-bid meetings and site visits
• Build effective relationships with team members, external customers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Perform other duties associated with this position as may be appropriate

In addition, the Senior Estimator

• Reviews final estimates for completeness and accuracy with Estimators and Junior Estimators
• Helps in the development and training of Estimators and Junior Estimators

Required Skills:

• Ability to manage multiple preconstruction projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Possess a strong work ethic

Estimator and Senior Estimator

• Detailed knowledge of pricing and costs for materials, labor, subcontractors and equipment for all trade disciplines
• Proficient with Onscreen Takeoff
• Ability to read construction blueprints & specifications
